The Cayaba Care care model focuses on integration not replacement of patients’ primary Obstetric provider and reducing any barriers to the patient receiving the recommended care.

About the Job

Cayaba is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist. The ideal candidate will handle all facets of the Revenue Cycle including front/back-end billing tasks and collections for our clinic, telehealth, and home-based provider practices. In this position, you will accept payments from insurance companies, handle denials and appeals, and send bills to patients. Our ideal applicant has experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a medical environment. You also need to be familiar with the insurance industry, especially with how to file medical claims with Medicaid. You must also be well versed in CPT medical codes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission to serve low-income families and building innovative solutions to improve outcomes/patient experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete patient registration as needed
  • Insurance verification
  • Submit claims to insurance companies
  • Track daily appointments and no-shows
  • Outreach and follow up with patients to obtain demographic and insurance information
  • Handle denials and the appeals process
  • Patient billing and Financial Counseling
  • Run monthly reports to track monthly charges and accounts receivables
  • Create and Followup on required insurance preauthorizations and/or referrals
  • Collect and Post patient payments via incoming patient telephone calls
  • Maintain Charge Master/Fee Schedule

Who are you?

  • Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Minimum of 2 years medical billing experience
  • Intermediate capabilities using Google Workplace, Excel, and PowerPoint,
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data (such as EOB’s, data, and A/R reports)
  • Collections or accounts receivable experience
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry
  • Familiarity with CPT medical codes
